Don’t buy into the TV commercials with the guy driving the “whack” car, or serving seafood to customers, it is a bunch of bull, as you have to enroll in a paid service to get a “free” credit report.
This is the way I use this service: Since you are only allowed 1 free report on an annual basis & there are 3 credit reporting agencies, request a different one every 4 months. That way you have continual credit monitoring throughout the year.
So order one from Equifax, wait 4 months then order from Transunion, and then wait 4 months and order from Experian.
